The white rabbit - Kristy S

Happy Friday everyone.

Im back again to share with you another card using the Kaisercraft looking glass collection so follow my white rabbit and take a look

This week I used a free lineart from Surea at Deviant art and as always colored up with Tim Holtz distress inks and markers on Watercolor Distress Cardstock

The clock in his hand I have heat embossed using a Versamark pen (these are great for small details) and Gold embossing powder

The backing paper and his paper pierced hat is from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper

Here I have added my last Prima resin clock touched up with metallic rub on and also a few Prima mini roses, and the book I made using Grunge paper, old book paper and a Script stamp.
I have also tucked away a piece from the collectables here along with a doily from my kit.

The tag, banner and number piece are all from the collectables, the large clock die cut is from Tim Holtz, and the small wooden clock is also from Kaisercraft.

Well that's me for this week, have a crafty weekend everyone.

My Kaisercraft Grungy Organizer

Hello again,

This week I want to show you all an organizer I created out of a file folder which I cut down to just above A5 size, wrapped in brown paper inked and then embellished.

Here is how it came out.

To create a journal feel, I ran some grunge paper through a clock embossing folder and then using Distress inks and glimmer mists came up with this leather looking binding.
I absolutely love grunge paper it smells like real leather and takes inks and mists so well, I also used it for my hinges which were cut with the Tim Holtz Hardware findings die and embellished with Prima crystals.

In the center is one of the Kaisercraft Wooden Frames which I have jazzed up by adding some details in puff paint, then once dry I painted the piece with acrylic paint and used my metalic rubon to highlight the raised areas.
Later on I may add a picture of my family or maybe print off my blog name to place in here, its fully functional so I can change my mind what will go in here.

Also behind the frame you maybe able to see a bit of script and some clocks that have been added using texture paste through a Crafters Workshop template, these are fabulous and I used two different stencils for this project.

The closure of this album is a piece of elasticated ribbon that I have misted and attached a Tim Holtz Keyhole to, You can also see here the gorgeous image of Alice from The Kaisercraft looking glass collection, this piece that I have used for the Album is called Tweedle Dum.

Because I plan on carrying this organizer around with me I kept the foliage to a minimum and just embellished with a Large script flower from my stash and used some of the 6.5 x6.5 paper from the collection to create the smaller green flower, then I Just added in a few Prima Lakeside roses, A Prima resin clock from last months kit and a Prima Key tucked in underneath and another Resin Piece for the two corner pieces (not in this photo), I also used part of a Kaisercraft clock which got the same treatment as the frame.

Here is a quick look at the inside of the album which I have secured/decorated with Washi tape.

So I hope you enjoyed my project, If you don't want to bother with finding and cutting down a file folder like I did, Tim Holtz has recently brought out his own  fabulous folders and Ring bindings so you can customize as much or as little as you like. (unfortunately I didn't spy these till after I had made my album DOH!!!!)

O well, I hope you all have a fantastic weekend

HI bloggers, Kristy here.

This week I want to share a card I made using the new Kaisercraft The looking glass collection.
I was so excited to get this paperline this month and cant wait to show you some of the things I have come up with.

So please take a look!

I have done a little step by step collage for you also so you can see how I layered up my card.(and yes I managed to drop an ink pad lid on my paper but it got covered in the end (whew)

So this is my first time using a Magnolia stamp and I must say I totally get the addiction,  this one is called Tilda with love potion, and she was so much fun to color.
As always I have used my Tim Holtz Distress inks and markers on Watercolor Distress cardstock
I have also stamped around her with the Kaisercraft texture stamp called Postmarks and used some liquid pearls to accent it!

I wanted to give the big flower sprays a miss this week so I pulled out this lace applique that I found at my local sewing centre, and the cute doily poking out in the corner came in my kit.

The Stamped wording comes from the Crafty Secrets stamp collection called greetings from wonderland, I saw this set online in another country and asked the lovely ladies at Scotties to get them in for me, so if you see something you like, ask the girls and they might just be able to get them in for you too.

Here is a look at the inside, the Butterfly is from the collections Sticker sheet, the "Remember" tag is from the collectables and the doily is a Couture Creations doily Die

Here is another look at the front,
I have a few Prima embelishments here including a Prima resin bird sitting on some cut offs from the Sizzix Autumn Gatherings die, these were left over from another project and worked out great here  as branches, They are covered in Stickles Dry fine glitter
I also added some Prima bling and Prima flowers from the Meadow and Lakeside collections and the green doily behind the celebrate rub on is from the cutouts in the 6.5 x 6.5 paper stack

And that's that, I hope you like her.

Have  a great weekend everyone.

Carnival with Graphic 45

Hello all

Kristy here with my last post featuring the Graphic 45 Mother Goose paper collection.

I have loved working with these papers and hope I have shown the versatility of them too.

This last card is no exception and was made for a friend of mine who very recently had a carnival themed wedding so I had to put my thinking cap on for this one and I really like how it turned out.

Im on a run here with easel cards so here she is all opened up  for you.

The feathers here were just regular craft ones which I curled around a butter knife using the same technique that you use to curl ribbon, and I really like the effect this gives.
Also in this mash up are some Kaisercraft and Prima blooms, burlap ribbon and another crochet doiley.
The key was from Scotties and the little rose on the left is a fimo rose I made (I actually burnt them) but I actually like "antique" color.

The Image I used this week is Circus Trixie from Saturated Canary, and again she is printed on Ranger Watercolour distress cardstock and colored with Distress inks and markers
I have also added some glitter gel pen to her hair for some extra shimmer, then layered her up on some G45 paper, burlap and a Couture Creations doily die cut using dimensional tape.

There are a few other things tucked away here from older lines like the Prima Bling and also the tickets cut from the Graphic 45 Curtain call paper but they mesh well in this look.

So that's all from me this week, please come back next Friday to see the new paper line I am using, I cant wait!

See you then.
